Araceli’s Denver Fashion Picks: Pink brings LA flair to Denver

Looking for something that is tremendously different?   Tired of  going shopping and seeing the same clothes over and over?  Pink’s boutique has the most “fatally amazing” clothes (yes, we said it!) at some of the best prices we’ve seen in Denver, and we can’t wait to tell you about it.

When we asked LA transplant Roberta Lipshutz, the owner, the story behind the name, she said, “it was the right time, the right place and I saw a great need to be fulfilled in Denver…and my maiden name is Pink.”   Roberta takes special pains to ensure that what you buy at Pink’s will probably not be seen on anyone else in town, and she does this by not placing re-orders of the same items each season.  We love that you can get great customer service and carefully chosen inventory without paying luxury prices.

This sky-blue, floral print dress has one frilly shoulder strap with ruffles that runs around the neckline. The elastic waistline is comfortable and helps define your body. It is girly looking for any occasion, and the open neck is very flattering. The light and flowy fabric is perfect for the summer breeze. It’s not too short and not too long…it’s the perfect length!  I put the dress together with bangles and flower earrings that go with the shape of the silhouette and look. Here’s a show stopper.  This linen beige dress is sexy and sophisticated. Slip it on and you are ready for work and your after-five plans. This dress has all the right construction to flatter you: baby tucks around the neckline, pleats in the waistline, an adjustable band and gathered hem line. I added a lilac tank top to bring in the color of spring. I chose the two bangles just for fun.  Georgianna’s hair has two twists with a bun on the side, which looks really pulled together but also relaxed. Try French braids too.

This muscle shirt with tulle skirt radiates the feminine power that every woman is looking for. These colors are slick and go together well this season. They have their own equal power of elegance. Yet this dress is uncomparable to just any other black and white dress. The effect of the tulle changes everything from the ordinary. The brass belt with silver studs adds a touch of rock n’ roll, and the double-strand beaded necklace with black beads and goldtone flower looks so feminine and gentle.  I only added a few accessories because the dress already speaks for itself.   The evening pony tail always works…believe it or not.

About this week’s model: Georgianna Tina, 21, just graduated from the University of Colorado with degrees in biology, business and economics.  This Grecian-born Denver transplant is choosing which graduate school to attend, and she wants to become a physician’s assistant.  Her long-term goal is to use this training to help people in underprivileged countries that don’t have access to health care.  We are excited that Georgianna decided to work with us, and we are proud of her accomplishments!  Smarts can also be beautiful, don’t you think?
