Araceli’s Denver Fashion Picks: Fun and Creativity at Stella B’s

Clothes can sometimes help us define our creativity, and at Stella B’s, you can find the most creative touches than anywhere else in the Denver metro area. Julie Bane, owner of Stella B’s in Arvada, is determined to bring us some of the best of what Los Angeles fashion has to offer, from cult favorites to international up-and-coming designers to large-house fashion icons and body care products.

Swing tank and jeans

My casual look this week is fun, fun fun! Why wear just a plain tank top when yours can swing? The swingy shape of this colorful cotton tank top lends a sense of balance to this outfit and it make it suitable for casual day out. The back has straps that fall into a nice v-shape in the back that flows down to a back opening. There is nothing plain about this tank! I picked a pink spaghetti strap nylon top to layer underneath it. The pale wash jeans are gently distressed into a simple and light blue to complement the aquarelle hues of the tank top. You can wear the jeans unrolled or rolled like I have, to add to the fun look. The earrings with retro baubles remind me of mod 60’s style. Just too cute! Miss Me Couture separates

Here’s a great way to look focused without looking boring. This purple Tencel blouse drapes your frame and has this great stud detail along the high round neckline and around the armhole. The modest hip length and lightness of the blouse allows you to be comfortable at work. Also try wearing this top with some tights instead of the work slacks. The smart cotton jacket has a luxurious plaid satin red-and-black lining and a comfortable smock-like cut. The ¾ length sleeves on the jacket work almost everything, making this a must-have piece. The slacks are so slick, so versatile and unique with a nice pleat around the belt loops and a slight boot cut. To pull it all together, I matched the flower circle earrings with my lipstick! Black and gold lace dress

This is the perfect date night dress! The black and gold lace dress has its own gold satin camisole and adjusts at the waist with sheer gathers at the hem and an A-line skirt. The fluid lines of the dress are flattering to both slender figures and also fuller ones. The gold hoop earrings with small rhinestones look simple but really fancy in a subtle way. Don’t forget that accessories make huge impact in the outfit. The soft leather black hand purse, with round gold circle that evokes the shape of the hoop earrings, is just the right size with enough space to put all your essentials for the night out.
